versatile blogger award green
I was not going to post this as I thought who am I to tell people that someone else thinks my blog is interesting and award winning? I suppose that I proved, by waiting a few weeks to do so, that I cannot always take a compliment. So we will let that be the first random thing that I tell you about myself. According to Ambition in the City’s rules, there will be six more to follow later in the post.

The rules that I received are:
THE RULES:

1. Display the Award Certificate on your blog

2. Announce your win with a post and thank the blogger who nominated you.

3. Present 15 deserving bloggers with the award.

4. Link your nominees in the post and let them know about their nomination with a comment.

5. Post 7 interesting things about yourself.

However, if I don’t acknowledge those whose writing interests me then they don’t receive the compliments and accolades that they receive. Their writing and commentary is intriguing, unique, quirky, and thought provoking. The photography is moving and the emotions are true.

Therefore, I will post this to give credit where it is due – namely, to those who make me think and laugh, cry, agree, or consider. If you choose to read some of these, and like them, please let the writer know that you heard about her/him from me.

The blogs that I follow are eclectic and hopefully you will enjoy getting to know some of them as well.

These are in no particular order so please don’t use it as a ranking system.

Ok. That is the list of 15 that I was requested to share.

Ha!! Contrarian that I am, I am going to add a 16th blog that I do enjoy!!

http://whimsicaleclecticist.wordpress.com/ That name is wonderful and obviously this blog appeals greatly to me!

There are other blogs that I follow and read, but perhaps some of these are not as well known as others and need a boost. As you may note, I like real women, authentic and honest people, quirky with a sense of humor, and bloggers who are not afraid to say that the world is not all sunshine and roses. Life is messy, unfair, unbalanced, and finely nuanced. As the expression goes, sometimes you are the windshield and sometimes you are the bug.

As requested, here are some things about me that are definitely random.

My taste in art and architecture is very eclectic and I like Ansel Adams, Frank Lloyd Wright, Art Deco, Erte, Peter Max and Jim Dines. I like Landscape Photography.

My favorite app is SongPop. I am a music fan and it is great fun.

I do have a competitive streak. See above and add Scrabble, Boggle and other word games to the list.

There are so many fabulous things in the world and I wish I could shop for many more of them. I enjoy purchasing gifts for others and myself. My mother told me that I was a wonderful gift giver.

Family is a major priority for me as is Empathy and Kindness.

As I get older, I need more time to recuperate and replenish peacefully at the end of each day.

To those of you who read and follow my blog, my sincerest thanks and appreciation for allowing me to share your thoughts and express mine.
