There is no such thing as a ‘self-made’ man. We are made up of thousands of others. Everyone who has ever done a kind deed for us, or spoken one word of encouragement to us, has entered into the make-up of our character and of our thoughts, as well as our success.

– George Matthew Adams

Thank you for stopping by! I hope that you enjoy your visit.
It means more than you know.

  1. That is true. We are conditioned by life and those around us..

  2. A fresh perspective. Normally, when we use the term ‘self-made’, we mean that the person has come up in life due to sheer merit and grit and not due to hanging on to the coat tails of someone else.

    • I understand what you are saying. Some struggle more to get where they are going. The softer skills, ie empathy and negotiation can be learned through our experiences with others. We do the necessary work but mentors can be powerfully Helpful.
