Perhaps the most important thing we bring to another person is
the silence in us
not the sort of silence that is filled with unspoken
criticism or hard withdrawal.
The sort of silence that is a place of refuge,
of rest, of acceptance of someone as they are.
We are all hungry for this other silence.
It is hard to find. In its presence we can remember something beyond
the moment, a strength on which to build a life.
Silence is a place of great
power and healing.

    • The hand we hold, or hug we give, can mean more than words can say sometimes. Words can be beautiful, but insufficient at times of great loss and sadness. JMHO. 🙂

  2. Thank you, you brought a sense of tranquillity here also, as I was rushing around trying to catch up with missed posts.. You slowed me down and allowed me to take a deep breath and remember that taking our own silent moments as I have these past few days is needed.. And not to worry about catching up 🙂 So thank you for slowing me down 🙂 as I need to practice more what I preach 😉 ❤ Sue

    • Sue, you have no idea how much your words touched me. Thank you for your kindness. In the midst of the chaos, our quiet intuitive selves can thrive with some well deserved silence. I need more of it, as I grow older, as a restorative. ❤

      • Chaos dear friend is surrounding many as the Mad energies exit .. I have been absent a few days and was scurrying along as we do.. and your post halted me in my tracks.. to take stock.. and Breatheeeeeeeeee…. 🙂
That was why I have been absent from WP.. for Life is rushing ever faster past us.. And I have been busy enjoying my crafts and family time.. :).. Many thanks for your response.. And thank YOU for all you do.. in spreading Peace.. ❤ Sue

  3. For years, this is where I have willingly chosen to spend a good amount of time. I wouldn’t trade my silence experiences for near anything. Glad you chose it as a topic.

    • I appreciate your comment Eric. It is a hard place to get to at times, but so worthwhile.

  4. It is…
