  1. Great prayer. I accept it. On a side note – I’ve asked my husband about this and he didn’t know, so since you did it I’ll ask you. Why do people put a – between the G and D in God? I’ve seen this a lot lately and am curious why.

    • Hi ~ I believe that it comes from the biblical not to take G-d’s name in vain and it became acceptable to put a dash in the middle. I am not an expert, but that is the reason that I am aware of.

      • That makes sense and I do understand that it may be done out of respect. But, I see it even when God’s name is not taken in vain, such as “May God bless you.” I’ll have to look into it further.
