Sometimes we let a bad situation fester, creating a slippery slope that benefits no one.  Neither the one who fails through laziness, or “wins” by dispiriting others around them, nor the overall morale is improved.  The longer such a situation drains the spirit of an environment, the more it poisons those who would seek to improve or who have given up hope of such positive change.

How easy, and how sad, it is to kill the priceless qualities of motivation and loyalty.  Respect can be earned and embraced when shared equally.

how to master anything at any age         Putting one foot in front of the other is still at your own pace.  While no one else may recognize the changes you are making in your attitude, care, and attention, it doesn’t matter.  The validation that comes from within has to be the strongest in your life to keep moving forward.

Waiting for apologies and recognition is a long end game.  While truth, integrity, and justice should be first and foremost, and I advocate for both most strenuously, there are those who withhold their praise or regard when you need it most.

Engaging efforts to change yourself for the better, in any number of ways, is always beneficial.  Determining to find something positive in challenging or difficult times is an act of mental strength.  Continuing to do so becomes a habit that is most supportive to your health and wellbeing.  Wherever your future takes you, developing confidence and self assurance is priceless.

Always do that little bit more, not because of someone else, but because you are constantly improving yourself and the situation around you.
