integrity and truth_albert einstein

Integrity is something to live and behave with every day, not merely for a week. Yet, there are so many things to cause our attention to drift in a world of 7 billion people and so little humanity at times.

When we live with empathy, and awareness of others’ feelings, we cannot help but behave with integrity and equanimity.  Character is not merely stepping up, and rising above the convenient avoidance of responsibility or uncomfortable truth, but represents the greater good and models those traits that we seek in others.

“Waste no more time arguing about what a good man should be. Be one.”
Marcus Aurelius, Meditations

  1. This came at an auspicious time for me. I have been having a conversation about integrity with friends this week- and how some people make choices that shows their lack of it. It is troubling to me to witness it, but realize the best I can do is not to lower myself to their level, to walk away from it and focus on behaving in a way that I would hope no one would think integrity is something I lack. Thank you ❤

  2. I am so glad that you liked this. I, too, have a difficult time understanding people with “conditional integrity” and character. If you behave with integrity, it should be at all times. Only showing it when it is expedient seems to be proof of a lack of integrity! ❤
